This is a spectacular and dramatic road providing amazing views of the snow-covered peaks of the Atlas mountains. You will see people living a very traditional way of life. in the Berber Villages we pass.
We then arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage cultural site of Ait BenHaddou. It was once an important stop along the caravan routes that from the Sahara and is the best preserved Kasbah in Morocco.
We then move onto Ouarzazate, which is the film capital of Morocco with one of the largest film studios in the world. Famous for Lawrence of Arabia, Asterix and Obelisk and Babel amongst many others. The studios are open to the public or if you prefer we can visit Amridil Kasbah, the 17th-century living museum featured on the 50-dirham note.
We will drive through Skoura Oasis and The Valley of the Roses, filled with wild Damask rose trees, a very important crop to the local population. Finally onto the wild landscape of Dades Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty and unusual rock formations.
Overnight Dades Valley

After breakfast, your tour of Morocco continues and we will depart the Dades Valley before arriving at the charming oasis city of Tineghir with its 2000-year-old mellah (Jewish quarter).
Continuing on to Todra Gorge we have free time to trek the 300m canyons before lunch. After visiting the Nomad / Berber museum or fossil workshop, we will head for the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, indisputably one of Morocco’s most stunning sites. Enjoy the evocative adventure of a sunset camel ride to the oasis where our desert camp is located and after a moonlit dinner and drumming around the camp fire, sleep in Berber tents or perhaps star gazing under the magical Saharan night sky.
Overnight in Berber Camp (Standard Camp and Luxury Camp available)
Tour Marrakech – Day 3 – Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes
