So Morocco create bespoke family adventure holidays you’ll never forget. A family adventure holiday is a precious opportunity to spend quality time together and we understand that means variety, flexibility and value for money. Our Morocco tours are private, escorted and fully tailored to your family.
Day 1 Highlights – Salt Mine, UNESCO Sites, N. Africa’s Highest Road, Village House.
Your family adventure holiday begins as we collect you from your Marrakech riad after breakfast and head into the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n Tichka pass, the highest in North Africa, stopping on the way to visit the Salt Mines and the extraordinary Telouet Kasbah. This is a stunning though incomplete Kasbah with a rich history and much to see inside. From here we will drive on to Ait Ben Haddou, with its striking Southern Moroccan Ksar architecture.
Accommodation tonight can be at a home inside the original kasbah which you reach over a bridge whilst the donkey carries your luggage across the river and walks right into the house to deliver it. Alternatively stay at a beldi-chic road overlooking the UNESCO site.

Day 2 Highlights – Movie Studios, Oasis Bike Ride, Dades Gorge, Kasbah’s.
Today your tour of Morocco will take you to Ouarzazate Movie Studios, one of the largest in the world. Footage from Lawrence of Arabia to Game of Thrones (and dozens in between) shot here. The Skoura Oasis a few miles east of Ouarzazate is an amazing sight. It’s a huge, dense palm tree oasis filled with a confusing network of winding trails. With the help of a guide, you can tire out the kids exploring it by bicycle.
We will make the most of our spectacular journey on The Road of 1000 Kasbahs, by visiting Amridil Kasbah. This iconic and photogenic 17th century Kasbah features in books and brochures around the world as well as on the fifty dirham note. You can really explore its labyrinth of rooms and intact, ancient contents. Then onto the Valley of Roses and the wild Dades Valley (Morocco’s Grand Canyon) is absolutely stunning with rocks in all shades of orange and red and is known as The Country of Figs.

Day 3 Highlights – Off-Road Driving, Discover Nomads, Canyons, Sleep In A Cave
Hold on tight and let’s have some fun by taking your Morocco tour off-road for the educational and life-changing experience of meeting nomads in their caves. Morocco’s nomadic tribes are rare and elusive these days but with our local knowledge and skilled driving, we will do our best to find them.We will stop on the way to buy ourselves a picnic and some essentials for the nomads (such as oil and sugar.) Then continue on through this wild landscape of snow-capped mountains and semi-desert, driving off-road in search of these ancient people.
This area reveals many hidden treasures invisible from the road. If we are successful in our search, we will find the nomads and they will hospitably invite us to take tea with them and with the help of your driver / guide translating, you can ask all the questions you like about their hard but fascinating way of life. Returning before sunset to our very own caves where we will sleep tonight.
This Eco-Auberge is cut into Todra Gorge under the starriest sky imaginable. If you are a traveller with a yearning for adventure, a sense of fun, a heart for an eco-treat and a wish to escape the humdrum of mainstream tourism, then this very comfortable accommodation will delight you.

Day 4 Highlights – Fossil Workshop, Nomad Museum, Traditional Music, Camel Trekking, Desert Camping
Today we set off towards the desert. We will visit the Nomad museum to learn more about the culture and travel to the fossil city of Erfoud Then Khamlia, in time for a traditional Berber Pizza lunch. Khamlia is the home of the Gnaoua People who came from West Africa to Morocco as slaves. Gnaoua music is much loved by Moroccans and Gnaoua ‘Maalems’ are highly respected, and enjoy an aura of musical stardom and you can watch their unique and trance-like performance. Finally, we arrive at Erg Chebbi, with its beautiful apricot-coloured sand dunes stretching as far as the eye can see. You will be introduced to your camel and your desert adventure begins as you ride into the dunes to your nomad camp, in plenty of time to see the sunset.
Overnight desert camp
Day 5 Highlights – Sahara Desert, Sand Boarding, Souk Shopping, Desert Exploration.
We recommend rising early, at least, one of these two mornings, to watch the stunning sunrise over the swelling dunes of the desert, waking up and lighting the landscape. Have some family fun sand-boarding before a shower and breakfast then we drive across the dunes to discover Rissani, an ancient Saharan town where we will see men wearing the indigo blue robes distinctive of the Saharan people. Rissani has the most famous and largest souk in the south and here you can watch wandering traders and desert dwellers that come to sell their wares. You can see what wild plants people gather and use as medicine and watch the trading of fresh produce, animals and other products.
The Sahara is the largest hot desert in the world and at 3.6million square miles, it is almost the size of the United States and with 2 nights here we will really be able to make the most of this fascinating area.

Day 6 Highlights – Oasis, Guided Walk, Traditional Crafts, Relaxing Swimming Pool.
Leaving the desert by camel or exhilarating 4×4 journey across the dunes, today’s journey takes us across the volcanic mountains of Sarhro and the Draa Valley to Agdz.
The scenery will change as we see the first palm trees of the Draa Valley, the longest river valley in Morocco lined by many palm groves and small Sub-Saharan Berber villages where the tradition and culture are passed for centuries between families.
This is Morocco’s largest Oasis and we will enjoy a guided walk and a relaxing time in the sleepy village of Agdz where you will discover handcraft traditions include carving, pottery and basket weaving.

Day 7 Highlights – Fint Oasis, Exotic Marrakech, Hammam, Palaces & Gardens, Snake Charmers & Acrobats
Today your Family Adventure Morocco Tour ends with your transfer to Marrakech. There will be time to in this dry, desolate terrain and discover Fint Oasis which is green, lush and full of life, teeming with plant, animal and village life. Composed of four traditional villages which blend Sub-Saharan, Moroccan and Berber culture, it’s a laid-back place where donkeys and other beasts of burden still roam the streets and women still wash clothes in the river.
Then back up and over the mountains to Marrakech or alternatively we head south and continue onto the coast for a few more days of your Morocco Tour.
In order to enjoy all that Marrakech has to offer, we suggest staying an extra night or 2.
At your riad in the heart of the medina, you can relax and enjoy a spa / hammam. Perhaps enjoy a guided tour of the medina or magical Majorelle Gardens, lovingly restored by Yves Saint Laurent, the gardens are a kaleidoscope of tropical colour.
In the evening venture out to visit the atmospheric Jemaa el Fna square full of acrobats, storytellers and snake charmers.
