So Morocco Tour Reviews
Here’s what our customers are saying about their Morocco Tour with us.
“The Highlight of our Holiday” (June 2016 – LisaJane – Newport)
We planned a surprise trip to Morocco for our mum to celebrate her 50th birthday. After exploring the Souks of Marrakech the previous day we wanted to spend a day getting out of the cities and towns and experience a bit of the rural Morocco. As our mum is quite adventurous we knew she would love to get into the Atlas Mountains and experience a bit of the surrounding countryside. Our driver arrived very promptly at the hotel (so promptly we weren’t ready to go!) and was friendly, helpful and told us lots of interesting stories about the history of the country. I was initially a bit worried about the 2 1/2 hour drive from Marrakech to the waterfalls as both myself and my brother suffer from travel sickness, especially in warm stuffy vehicles. However, we had no need to worry as the vehicle was incredibly comfortable, roomy and had great air conditioning. The interesting scenery along with our drivers stories and willingness to answer our questions meant to journey passed quite quickly and easily. Our first view of the waterfalls when we arrived at Ouzoud was breathtaking. They really are beautiful. My other concern was that we might get bored spending the entire day at the waterfalls but i could have easily done the trip again the day after! With beautiful walks through the forest, swimming in the waterfalls, browsing the stalls, having fun with the very cheeky monkeys and enjoying lunch with the most incredible view of the waterfalls made this day the highlight of our holiday. “So Morocco” were so helpful when planning the trip and their communication, friendliness and professionalism was top notch. It was a perfect way for my mum to spend her 50th birthday. Thank you “So Morocco” for being a part of it.
“Fantastic Aventure” – (May 2016 – Brickcounter – Oxfordshire)
This was our first trip to Morocco and we saw so much. From Marrakesh over the Atlas Mountains and on to the edge of the desert. When you spend a week being driven everywhere the relationship with the guide is so important and our guide was superb in every way. The highlight has to be the camel trip into the desert. The desert camp was like no other camping experience. So good.
“So Morocco – So Great” – (April 2016 – RoyB – Southampton)
On my first visit ever to Morocco, whilst excited, I was slightly apprehensive not knowing the cultural protocols, would I be hassled, what is a fair price in a haggle, how much to tip, being tricked to visit somewhere and have to pay etc. etc. I needn’t have been concerned –
With the help of So Morocco (thank you Linda) they organised a wonderful guide (Abdul Malik) and driver for us. Malik was so friendly and knowledgeable, showing and telling us about all the main sites, culture, history and people. Partly walking (even through areas that we probably wouldn’t otherwise have gone but turned out to be so rich) and partly in the car, we saw and learnt so much. This one day set us up for our stay – which was fantastic, in no small measure due to So Morocco setting things up.
We will use So Morocco next time we go to arrange everything including some more adventurous excursions.
“So Morocco is the perfect choice” (April 2016 – mth0mps0n – Hampshire)
So Morocco organised my whole trip brilliantly. I visited Rabat, Meknes, Fes, Agdz and Marrakesh. The driver was very helpful, knowledgable and spoke excellent English.
Due to a problem with EasyJet and Gatwick airport, my case did not arrive at the same time as I did – luckily So Morocco dealt with this whilst I was travelling to Rabat and I was reunited with my belongings at my next stop. My favourite Riad was in Agdz, but I have to say all of the roads were delightful.
“Shukran”(April 2016 – MattF – Surrey)
So Morocco were the only company I spoke to that seemed to really know Morocco and answered every single question I had promptly. I was a bit concerned that they didn’t have many reviews but then realised that all their reviews were under their old name. And anyway, Linda’s efficient and un ruffled style filled me with confidence.
Their “Making Memories” Family Adventure Tour was customised and turned out to be absolutely perfect. There was a lot of ground to cover but the car was comfortable and the driver was good company and got on great with the kids.
We stayed in some amazing places and particularly adored the caves and their place in Agdiz but the desert camping was a fantastic experience too. Everything was organised seamlessly and with the support of their UK office we felt really able to relax and know that we were in safe hands.
Overall our tour was how we would all like our holidays to be. Well organised, safe, fun, interesting and above expectations. There seem to be alot of companies out there doing this but So Morocco are doing it better.

“Trip around Morocco including Atlas Mountains and Sahara”(November 2015 – Tracey Coult – Fleet)
WOW! What a trip! Really recommend So Morocco the organisation was faultless. We were met at the airport by our driver who had been chosen as he would get on well with our teenagers and he did. He was then with us for the duration of the trip and everything was perfect. He even phoned in advance to ensure we got the best rooms and stopped at all sorts of exciting places to show us things we hadn’t expected. We even chatted about climbing palm trees and the next thing we knew he had pulled over and was showing our boys how to climb the tree and we all tucked into freshly picked dates. All the accommodation was amazing and So Morocco had found some real hidden gems – we barely saw any other tourists. The trekking was fantastic but it really is remote so the accommodation is VERY basic. I recommend taking sleeping bag liners as they just provide blankets and mats on the floor – and take your own loo roll too! I would recommend this holiday to everyone but would have to highlight that there is a LOT of driving. We covered 1400km in a week. Another reason to book with So Morocco though as the vehicle was spacious and comfortable and the driver great so even the driving was enjoyable and we never spent more than three hours in the car in one go and would stop every half hour or so to take photos or visit sites. We sand boarded down the dunes in the Sahara and road camels. We played in the sand under the stars in the middle of no-where. We trekked in the Atlas mountains where a meal was prepared for us under the trees at lunch time and the mules carried our luggage. Our children were taught to make a tagine by a local family we stayed with and we even stayed in a stunning cave! Every day was really different and varied and Linda had put a lot of thought into our specific needs.
“Family Trip”(October 2015 – Richard S – Chichester
I usually find it hard to summarise reviews in 200 words but this will be easy. How do you keep a family of 6 ranging from 6 years upwards to teenagers happy? We had eight days doing an incredible range of accommodation; a desert camp, riad in Marrakech, an oasis hotel, an amazing gorge cave hotel next to 300 metre cliffs and we managed to pack in fossil hunting, some great off-road driving in the mountains, river swims next to the biggest waterfalls in North Africa, visiting ancient kasbahs, driving the highest pass in the Atlas Mountains and camel riding in the Sahara. We visited nomads living in caves and Berber people in their traditionally built houses, but also always had high end accommodation and numerous times for the kids to use the swimming pools. We are not the easiest to please and So Morocco were very, very flexible in changing to any requirement we had – and we had a few. For that we are very grateful. Our Land Cruiser was perfect for transporting us around the country and really worthwhile having our own guide all the time that could make the experience very personal. This was no ordinary package tour.
